The Importance of Slitter Rewinder Tension Controlling
The blank film or the printed film needs to be slit on the slitter rewinder, and the semi-finished product from the large roll is slit into the required size. The process includes two parts: the running speed control and the tension control of the machine. The so-called tension is that in order to pull the film and rewind it to the paper core according to the standard, a certain stretching and tensioning force must be applied to the film, and the control force of the tensioning film is the tension. Tension control refers to the ability to permanently control the tension of the film as it is conveyed on the equipment. This control must remain effective for any operating speed of the machine, including speed up, speed down and uniform speed of the machine. Even in the event of an emergency stop, it has the ability to ensure that the film is not damaged in the minimum.
The tension control of the slitting machine is basically manual tension control and automatic tension control. Manual tension control is that in the process of unwinding or rewinding, when the diameter of the roll changes to a certain stage, the operator adjusts the manual power supply device to achieve the purpose of controlling the tension. The automatic tension control is that the tension sensor directly measures the actual tension value of the material web, and then converts the tension data into a tension signal and feeds it back to the tension controller. By comparing this signal with the preset tension value of the controller, the control signal is calculated. Automatically control the execution unit to make the actual tension value equal to the preset tension value to achieve the purpose of stabilizing the tension. The value of the tension setting of the rewinding and unwinding of the equipment directly affects the yield of the product. If the tension value is too big, the rewinding is too tight, and the film is prone to wrinkles. On the contrary, if the tension is insufficient, the film is prone to slip on the roll and cause serious dislocation. Unloading is impossible, and the unwinding shaft swings greatly during slitting, which affects the quality of slitting, so the slitting machine must have a good and stable tension detection system.
Therefore, whether it is slitting film, paper, aluminum foil and other laminate materials, tension controlling is a key part of the slitting machine, which will determine whether the slitted product is qualified or not. Also the operator need to judge the web material tension if it is fit or not, this need a skill, but it could be master this quickly when work this type materials, after few roll slit, the operator can be easily to know which setting data can realize a better finished rolls. The obviously simple method is to hand touch the web when transmission, and see if the web has a certain tension but not make it too tight or too loose, also the rewinding edge site is good and smooth, usually it will be good for rewinding rolls.
